On the Web
Your folders in any browser, signed in at folder.dev.
Sign in at folder.dev with the account you use in the apps, and your folders open in any browser, on any computer or phone.
Where It Works
- On Folder: everything below except share links. Files on Folder open only for you.
- In Your Cloudflare: everything below, with Links and Invites for other people.
- On This Mac: not on the web. Those files stay on that Mac.
The Window
The sidebar lists your folders under On Folder and In Your Cloudflare, each with a + that adds a folder there, then Links with Shared Links, and Settings and Sign Out at the bottom. folder.dev opens your first folder. On a phone, the sidebar is one Folders menu above the page.
A Folder
The folder’s files are a list, with Upload, New Folder and Folder Settings above it (on a phone, Folder Settings is in the ⋯ menu beside them). Under its name, a line says how many files it holds, their size and where it lives. Beside the list, This Folder says where it lives, its files and their size, when it last changed and its address, with Restore Points and, in your Cloudflare, Links and Invites. Select a file for its size, when it changed and, in your Cloudflare, who can open it.
A File
Open a file to see it in the page, with Download, Copy Link (in your Cloudflare) and Info. Info shows its panel:
- Details: what kind of file it is (“PNG image”, “M4A audio”), its size and where it lives.
- Tags: Finder’s own tags, the same on the Mac. See tags.
- Share, in your Cloudflare: who can open it and when the link ends. See share links.
- History: every version with when, by whom and its size. View opens a version; Restore makes it the current one, and the version it replaces stays in history; Save a Copy brings it back as a new file beside the original. See history.
Restore Points
Every change to the folder’s files, newest first, by day: Put Back brings a changed file back as it was, and Restore brings back a deleted one. Many files changed together, by the same person within a minute, are one row (“11 files added”); each of them keeps its own history. Deleted Files shows only the deletes. A restore point is a saved copy of the whole folder, to come back to at any time; Save a Restore Point makes one, and the apps make them too. A single file’s versions are in its History.
Shared Links
Every link made from your folders in your Cloudflare, in one table: who can open it and until when, with Copy Link and Stop. A link past its date moves under Stopped Working, where Share Again makes the same link work again.
Settings
Account, Your Address (the handle in every link to your files), On Folder with what you use of 5 GB, Your Cloudflare, your devices, Connected Apps and Delete Account. Usage, Costs and Updates opens your Cloudflare’s own page: what your folders keep there at R2’s list price, Folder’s workers and whether they’re up to date, every update so far, and Remove Folder From This Account.
