folder.dev deploys software into your own cloudflare account. your files live there — we are not in the data path. folders you create on folder.dev are the one exception, and this page says exactly what that means. it lists everything we store, and everything we deliberately cannot see.
what we store
- your name and email, from your cloudflare or apple sign-in
- which cloudflare accounts you connected, and the oauth grant that lets us deploy there
- what we deployed into your account: worker names, versions, and a log of installs and updates
- a monthly cost summary (bytes stored per account, priced at cloudflare's list prices)
- your handle, if you claim one
what we do not store
for buckets in your own cloudflare account: your files, filenames, folders, version history, and the tokens your devices use to reach them. all of that lives in your cloudflare account and moves directly between your devices and it. we never proxy those bytes.
folders on folder.dev
if you create a folder "on folder.dev" instead of in your own cloudflare, we hold those files for you: they are stored in our cloudflare account, in the EU, under a prefix that only your account can reach, and we record how much space they use. we can technically read them — we do not, and no person or program looks at them except to serve them back to you and to the people you share them with. you can move a folder to your own cloudflare account at any time; when you do, or when you delete it or your account, our copy is deleted.
where it lives
our control-plane records are stored in the EU. files in your own buckets are wherever you created them — that is between you and cloudflare, on your own cloudflare bill and terms. folders on folder.dev are stored in the EU.
sharing and selling
we do not sell or share your information with anyone. no analytics companies, no advertisers, no data brokers.
deleting
settings → leaving removes our workers from your cloudflare account and deletes your folder.dev account with everything listed above, including any folders on folder.dev. buckets in your own cloudflare account and their files always stay yours.
