the workers, buckets, and data folder.dev manages run in your cloudflare account, under your agreement with cloudflare. cloudflare bills you directly for what they use; the costs page shows our best estimate, but cloudflare's invoice is the truth.

everything you store through folder.dev is yours. we claim no rights to it. for buckets in your own cloudflare account we do not see it at all; for folders on folder.dev we hold it for you and look at nothing (privacy page). you can take it or remove our software at any time — settings → leaving removes every worker we deployed and your buckets stay untouched.

a folder created "on folder.dev" is stored by us, in our cloudflare account, so you can use folder.dev without a cloudflare account of your own. it is free today; we may set limits on size and traffic and will say so before they apply. we may remove content that breaks the acceptable-use section below. you can move such a folder into your own cloudflare account at any time, after which everything above about your own account applies to it.

don't use folder.dev to host or share content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or abuses the people or systems it touches. public links you create are your responsibility. we can suspend accounts that abuse the service or other people.

folder.dev is provided as is, without warranties. we work to keep it reliable and honest about failures (the updates page shows every action, including the failed ones), but we are not liable for lost profits or consequential damages. our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months.

we may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date. continuing to use folder.dev after a change means you accept it. last updated 2 september 2026.
