# Folder vs CloudMounter

CloudMounter mounts Dropbox, Google Drive, S3 and more in Finder. Folder is for Cloudflare R2, with every version kept, share links and the web.

CloudMounter puts many clouds in Finder; Cloudflare R2 is not among them. Folder is built for R2. This compares Folder in your Cloudflare; a folder on Folder needs no R2 at all.

- Pick Folder: Your files are in Cloudflare R2, or you want a folder of your own with every version kept.
- Pick CloudMounter: Your files are in Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or S3, and you want them all in Finder in one app.

| | CloudMounter | Folder, in your Cloudflare |

| A deleted file comes back | As each cloud keeps it | Every overwrite and delete kept |
| Runs on | Mac and Windows | Mac and the web; the iPhone app is not in the App Store yet |

## CloudMounter

[CloudMounter](https://cloudmounter.net) is a cloud storage manager for macOS and Windows. It mounts Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon S3, Google Drive, WebDAV, SFTP, FTP, pCloud, Box, Backblaze B2, MEGA and OpenStack Swift so that, in its words, you "access your cloud files directly in Finder and Explorer without opening additional software", and it offers encryption. Cloudflare R2 is not in its list.
