# What R2 Costs

Cloudflare R2's prices: $0.015 a GB-month, operations per million, no egress fees, and a free tier of 10 GB a month. With a worked example.

Egress is free from R2 itself, through the Workers API, the S3 API and r2.dev addresses.

## The Free Tier

Every month, on Standard storage: 10 GB of storage, 1 million Class A operations and 10 million Class B operations.

## An Example

100 GB of photos in Standard storage, with a few thousand uploads and reads a month: the first 10 GB are free, the other 90 GB cost 90 × $0.015 = $1.35 a month, and the operations stay inside the free tier. Downloading all 100 GB costs nothing more.

## With Folder

A folder in your own Cloudflare is billed by Cloudflare at these prices; we never see the bill. Signed in at folder.dev, Settings › Your Cloudflare › Usage, Costs and Updates shows what your folders keep there, old versions included, and this month at R2's list price.
