# Tags

Folder uses Finder's own tags on every kind of folder. On Folder or in your Cloudflare, a tag set in Finder shows on the web, and the other way round.

## Setting a Tag

- In Finder, or in the app: the Tags submenu of a file's right-click menu.
- In the app: File › Tags…, or the preview pane (View › Show Preview, ⇧⌘P).
- On the web: the file's tags, on its page at folder.dev.

## The Tags Section

The app's sidebar has a Tags section that lists every tag with its files, across all your folders. Drag a file onto a tag to tag it.

## Sync

The tags are standard Finder tags. On a folder on Folder or in your Cloudflare, a tag set in Finder shows on the web and on your other Macs, and a tag set on the web shows in Finder.
