# Share Links

Share a file from your own Cloudflare with a link, a password or an expiry, and take it back at any time. Who can open it decides the shape of the link.

Send a file to someone with a link. You choose who can open it and when the link ends.

## Where It Works

- On Folder: Not yet. Files on Folder open only for you.
- In Your Cloudflare: Yes. The link lives on your own Cloudflare account.
- On This Mac: No. Share from Dropbox or iCloud Drive, where the folder lives.

## Who Can Open It

| Choice | Who opens the file | The link |
|---|---|---|
| Only Me | You, signed in | No link for anyone else |
| Anyone With the Link | Whoever has the link | A random address nobody can guess |
| Anyone With the Password | Whoever knows the password | The file's own name |
| Anyone | Everybody | The file's own name |

## When It Ends

A link opens until you stop it, unless you pick an end: in a day, a week, a month or a year.

## Make a Link

- In Finder: right-click a file, then Share… or Copy Link. Copy Link makes the file Anyone With the Link and puts the link on your clipboard.
- In Folder for Mac: drop a file on the menu bar icon. It goes to your Upload Folder and its link is on your clipboard.
- On iPhone and iPad (the app is coming soon): open Files, then Copy Link or Share… in a file's menu.
- On the web: select the file, then Sharing in the panel beside the list.
- In ChatGPT or Claude: ask for a link. They tell you who will be able to open the file, and make it only after you say yes.

## Stop a Link

Shared Links, in the apps and on the web, lists every link you made, and the ones that ended under Stopped Working. Stop a link there or in the file's Sharing panel. Stopping a link never touches the file.
