# In Finder

Where Folder sits in Finder, what its right-click menu does, and how a file dropped on the window or the menu bar icon becomes a link on your clipboard.

A real folder, not a drive to mount.

## Where It Is

Folder sits in Finder's sidebar, under Locations. Files open in the apps you already use and download when you open them. On iPhone and iPad the same folder is in the Files app.

## The Right-Click Menu

On a file in a folder on Folder or in your Cloudflare:

- Copy Link puts the file's link on your clipboard.
- Share… opens the share panel. See [share links](/docs/share-links).
- History… shows every version of the file. See [history](/docs/history).
- Open on the Web opens the file at folder.dev.
- Tags sets Finder tags. See [tags](/docs/tags).

## Drop a File, Get a Link

Drop a file on Folder's window or its menu bar icon, and its link is on your clipboard.

## The App

The Folder app lists your folders in a sidebar, all three kinds, with the files of each in a list like Finder's: open, Open With, Quick Look (Space), rename, duplicate, move to the Trash, Show in Finder, Copy Link and History.
